Who are these people?
Actually, these are CATHOLICS: "plain Catholics"(press for link)
Just look at this plain catholic kitchen ,though there is a fridge..........(press for link)
In North America there are a number of small groups,
The plain Catholics are almost unknown
The Hutterites are better known
The best -known are the AMISH

............who still LIVE by choice in the ASCETIC way of the Puritan "Pilgrim Fathers" - which includes not using at home a number of gadgets etc that the 17th century had no choice but to not use!
But they are all pacifists!
The English Puritans, and this includes the American Pilgrim Fathers , were NOT pacifists. They fought!
There are none left as separate groups of puritans : in England they "evaporated", in America they split eventually, some became congregationalists, some Baptists, perhaps some became calvist presbyterians!
