On carnival's day he were  WAS a clow CLOWN,  he wears WORE the  A red nose and the face painted, MAKE-UP and all wear the clow clothes,  
  EVERYBODY/EVERYONE WAS IN CLOWN FANCY-DRESS/ DRESSEDUP AS CLOWNS, they was WERE celebrating.
